Default LTZ400 Questions- Carb, etc

I got an 04 LTZ400 that I bought in pieces. I have a manual, and I got the thing pretty much back together, but the manual doesn't really indicate where the hoses on carb go. I hooked them up in what I thought were their logical locations (vacuum to the petcock, and the large inlet on the carb to the large outlet on the petcock), but this carb seems to be dumping fuel straight into the cylinder. Any ideas?

i suspect the needle for the float has a speck of dirt holding it open or the float needs to be reset

I think I have bigger problems right now. I was about to tear back into the carb, and I decided to pull the plug and see if I had any compression, and although I don't have a compression guage, it feels very weak just putting my finger over it. I checked the ring end gap when putting it back together with new rings and honed cylinder, but I guess I'll pull it back apart and check to make sure I didn't funk anything up

how many hoses you got coming off the carb? Is the fuel petcock vacuum operated? If you post a pic, we can probably figure it out

Default carb problem

Hey. They are a total of 5 lines going and coming from the carb. I do believe that the petcock is vaccum operated because there are two lines going to the petcock. The line coming from the petcock goes to this what I am assuming is a fuel pump. I took it apart and all it had was a diaphram with a spring in it. Then one line goes to where the main fuel ine goes to the carb and there is another line where I am not sure where it goes that is on the bottom of the fuel pump. I applied a link that will show you a picutre of my carb that is on the four wheeler. Later on tonight i will acutally take pictures of the carb and assuming fuel pump so we can get a better look at it. Thanks in advanced.
