Default LTZ-400 (440) spark issues

I own on an '05 LTZ-400 with a 440 bore kit.

Recently I've been having the following problems:
- The bike suddenly only rev's slightly before cackling and backfiring and can only travel at about walking pace.
- An almost black residue also gets fired from the exhaust.
- Once switched off, the bike won't start again until it cools down, and even then it only just starts.
- It misses when at full rev's and stalls everytime I brake hard.
- Sometimes I will lose all lights on the display but it will come back once the relay module under the seat is jiggled

I have had the valves checked and there's a bit of carbon in there (but nothing major) and it has a brand new plug.

Could this module be the source of my problem?

Any help appreciated.

well the problem is changed with the quads motion and the fact that you "jiggled" the relay module usally means a loose connection...check all your connections and grounds and see if anything is wrong. hope you get it!

Cheers TRX, that will be my Saturday project followed by a couple of quiet beers to (hopefully) celebrate the fix!
