wats goin on just bought a 1987 lt 230 for $400 did have it running it actually does run and drives fine just cant get it to idle.it would barely start at firt cleaned out the carb and its a little easier to start now but just wont idle.it like bogs when it starts to lug down on idle and if i let it stall i have to choke it to get it back started.im pretty god with this stuff and my guess is an air leak somewhere or something.any ideas or help give me a shout thanks people.

 

ussually when there is a air leak it will idle higher take apart the carb all the way soke it in carb cleaner except for any rubber or plastic and blow out the jets or put some wires from a wirebrush in the holes.

 

check your compression. if its under 145 the lt wont idle
