ive had both, and the z/kfx is better. the predator has a very crappy seat that forces you to sit in a hump and the rearend is ALL OVER the place on lose dirt. it is fast and when there is traction handles better, but id still take the 400. dodgehemi, whats your love affair with efi? it isnt THAT much better or even that notieable to me depending on the vehicle anyway

All I need to say is ride at 10000 feet and tell me EFI is not better! For that fact I will put my EFI up against any STOCK to slight modified machine you have! Would you still like to have a carbed car for commuting? I can and will argue this point all day long!!!!! Those that dont like EFI either have never owned a quad with it or purly hve no idea what EFI is all about!

oh and gas mileage is better with efi, but unless you work on your own machines, then you dont understand why some people still like the carb! i dont have deep pockets like the yamaha mascot to take it to the dealer monkies

I rode a SP500 efI , unless I was told I could not tell the differance from a carb. They dont have a power advantage by the looks of things,in this 2008 450 motorcross shootout Racer X Canada - motocross and supercross news and features from around Canada the Suzuki is the only efi bike in the group and far from the fastest.

The some of the riders thoughts, but I guess there all wrong also.
Obviously the biggest update to the RM-Z450 is the motor and EFI. Did I notice a big difference? Not really. The bike did fire up easily, and it had a good amount of bottom and mid-range, but it doesn’t have as much overrev as the other 450s.
The Suzuki has a nice bottom end it. It didn’t bog, but it did pop a couple of times. I couldn’t really notice any difference between the EFI and carbureted bikes.
Kudos to Suzuki for being the first of the major manufacturers to introduce EFI on a motocross bike. Unfortunately, in stock form, this bike was a big disappointment for me as I was expecting greater things.
Sounds like the carb can make a 08 KX450 move.

Kawasaki KX450F
Fast, fast, fast!! Did I mention this bike is fast? The new Kawi 450 is the fastest of the bunch.

i have a carbed sportstam along with my efi 500 at the house. the only really noticable difference is the fuel mileage and there might be a SLIGHT difference in response.
