94.quadrunner carb ?

Default 94.quadrunner carb ?

Ok i,m gonna ask again,Anyboby tell me whats involved in taking carb off a 94 quadrunner 250?Isee carb but it looks rather involve in gettin it off,i want to rebuild and put new carb kit in.Just not sure how to get at it to remove,plastic removal or get it from seat?also on the top of carb is a round plunger cap,does it unscrew or just pull off.Thanks.

Remove all of the plastic first don't think you can take it from the side without removing every piece of the plastic coverings from the sides and top of the quad. Through the top you got to go through the air box and fuel tank first so your still going to need to remove all the outer plastic.

My Advice..Get a shop repair manual first before you attempt to do the work it will save you tons of heart ache in the long run and maybe save you from breaking a very small and very expensive impossible to find part as you try to remove it.

This link is for a sled but it tells you how to remove and clean a Mikuni Round slide Carburetor which is what you have. Disassembly and Cleaning of a Mikuni Round slide Carburetor

You can remove the carb through the top without removing any plastic. Back off the clamps to remove the carb and rubber tube between carb and air filter box at the same time. Putting this hose back in place will be the hardest part. The top has 4 screws holding it on.
