Default 2003 QuadSport 400 idles wont Rev

Friday night I went out and bought a 2003 Quadsport 400. Today I took it out and road for about 30 minutes and it killled when I gave it some gas. It starts up just fine and idles great, as soon as you give it gas it dies. I tried switching to reserve on the fuel petcock with no help. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Yes I was after it warmed up. I tried it again this morning when it was cold and it is still doing the same thing. It sat for about 6 months before I bought it although he said he did have stabil in it. I am beginning to think maybe I sucked up some trash up from the tank? Back in the motorcross 2 wheel days I would have said the float had a hole in it. But there is no fuel coming out the overflow like a bad float would. Actually im not even sure where the overflow is.

I have heard that if you leave a 4-stroke quad sitting for too long, the jetting needles can get clogged with old gas...

Thanks I will give it a try. I talked to the guy today and he said he had the dealer put a carb kit and a fuel valve in it about 2 months ago. I also bought a new plug to throw in it in case it is fouling.

Well whoever put the carb kit in it used silicone on the float bowl gasket and there was a huge chunk of silicone stuck in the main jet.
