ltz 400 gearing question

thanks that helped alot...but i gotta get a 12 tooth front sproket now to gear it back down how i want it...???? where can i get a 12 tooth sproket at....???? the smallest one rocky mountain has is a 13...

You could go up in the rear.
I was running 13/41 for a while on mine. Still would be but the sprocket was no good and when I bought a new chain I just went back to 13/40.
Not sure how big you can go in the rear before having clearance issues though. Three teeth on the rear is like one on the front.

Just looked it up and 13/41 with 22's is the same as stock 14/40 with 20's.

i ordered a 12 tooth sproket from www.sprocketspecialists
i put the order in lat sunday on the 1-9-11.. it still hasn't came..have any of you all bought anything from them and how long did it take for you to get it....

I had the same problem...rear end bearings were bad and let the rear end move backwards and forwards while riding... causes the chain to loosen and tighten
