engine number is 6113-257013 looking to find out what year it is if anyone can help

LT80 I'll presume.
They are basically all the same.
There are only ignition differences ( used to have a coil/cdi, now a separate coil and CDI) and a clutch spacer in old to new (2000+ or so).
You need the VIN to tell what year it is.
Could your jump cables not be making a good conection?

just got it all back together was the bendix in the starter motor all burned and copper split everywhere so changed just the bendix and problem solved thank fek lol
the engine is a replacement so the vin wont tell me the year of the motor was just curious to know but thanks for your help and all the best from sunny scotland lol
my wee girls first day out on it tomorrow so im eager to see how it performs fingers crossed all is good for her

 

ok was out for a whole half an hour today with my daughter it started first time then once runnin for about twenty mins i notticed the suppressor cap was off and the bike lacking power so i turned it off and put cap back on then it wouldnt goi again as starter back spinning slow and wouldnt even jump from the van , brought it home and jumped it from bbattery starter was bakj spinning fast and she fired up ?????????? im truly at my wits end with it and seriously thinking of putting a match to it hhheeeelllllpppppppppppppppppppp please
