Default 85 lt250r idle n smoking problems

kinda feel dumb for askin this but here we go, just recently had my motor completly rebuilt 80 over, new everything! i got it back and it ran great i just had to put my first couple gallons of new gas in it and now it wont idle and smokes way more than it did! i mixed the gas at 40:1 and then added about a xtra ounce to it just because im so afraid of having to drop another grand in it! i understand that making it smoke but will that make it not idle also? before i put gas in it it would probally idle all day without missing a beat! so if anybody could give me some input on this machine, this is the first one ive owned so i really dont know much about them! i do know its fast and fun! thank you,
jeff

you probly have too much oil in your gas or you may want to upgrade your carb and reeds. 80 over requires more gas to the cylinder and more air and exhaust flow to work properly.

I hate to say it but it sounds like a r.side crank seal to me. could be to much oil in the gas. ide try new gas first. or do a leak down test.

Before you go tearing it apart have you looked for the simple things like a fouled plug?
