I have a similar problem when I press the start the red fan light comes on, I hear a click (guess the solonoid) and nothing. I would like to test the startermotor but cant find it. Tried looking for the wires but they get lost under the plastic. Can someone take a pic of where it is please or be very descriptive.
Thanks in advance

Its a king quad 300, 1999. If I turn the lights on and try to start the lights dont dip. I have not yet put a multimeter on the battery.
Is it worth trying to jump start it from a car and see if it starts off the starter?

Yes to the car but make sure the car motor IS NOT RUNNING, you are only using the car battery.
Also check and see if the fuse is blown at the solenoid right next to the battery.

I'm here to help you and I watch my email 100 times a day so fire away.
BTW never hook a car battery up to a motorcycle/ATV/UTV/jetski with the motor running on the car, you will burn up your rectifier on your motorcycle/ATV/UTV/Jetski in a second.
All you need is the battery as it's 12v as is your elec.system. Cars run alot more amp's when running and your rectifier can't handle it.

Hi. The battery is set at jut over 13v and drops to 12.56V when trying to start. I have checked all the fuses and they are OK. Time to take the startermotor off. looks like its below the air box. Hope its easy to come out.
I have had 2 wheel bikes for years and know not to connect a running car to jump a bike but THANKS for the warning. Always appreciated.
