Choke off, hold the throttle wide open and try to start. I'm guessing it will eventually fire and run slow till the motor cleans out.
If this is what happens, fuel is flooding the motor.
Let's go from there.

It's a mist went out took carb off to double check everything and put back with a little sealant under the o-ring and with the choke ON it's popping and very faintly trying there was also a couple carb backfires?
I have just done another comp test and it is now reading 80psi so i've ordered a new gasket kit and may as well put new piston and rings in as well what a couple hour job this has turned out to be

Was it faster before all the carb trouble?
If not, I suspect a roller problem (dried up grease not allowing the rollers to work properly).

yes it was faster if you hold it at 1/2 throttle it's ok but as soon as you go any further it starts to splutter and there seems to be alot of oil/unburnt fuel around the tail pipe? that wasn't there before

I finally found the problem the black plastic o-ring holder had cracked which was letting air in. Also found why it was smoking and letting out oil the (original) piston's shot and has been and scored the cylinder so a new piston and a rebore is next
THANKS LT80

Angry Getting pissed. HELP

Read the post, I cleaned the carb on my little cousins lt80 twice. First time I took it off looked at the jets the Main jet was semi clogged with dirt, I cleaned it out the Pilot jet was fully clogged. Also cleaned that out. Put it all back together the float was fine. Put it back on, It started right up. It ran pretty good had to turn the idle up just 1/4 of a turn. I ran it around my yard for about 20 minutes it seemed to run okay. It was kinda boggy you couldn't play with the throttle you could only hold it at the speed you wanted. Then it started to bog out, It would only run off prime on the fuel valve. It bogged died out and wouldn't start again. I frigged with it all last night trying to get it to start it started up ran good for a minute i gave it gas went about 30 feet and it just died. I'm getting a new plug for it. I can't understand what is wrong with it.I took the gas line off and it drips a couple drips and then it stops. It looks like the valve runs off vaccum the whole time. Please help I am out of answers. I'd like to mention also I took the carb off again and the jets were still clean I have no idea whats wrong with it.
