I'm looking at a used one and I see a screw on the outside of the thumb throttle.

Is that a limit adjustment?

I ask because I need my 14 year old to use it and the thing is a BEAST.
Definitely need to limit the throttle for him if at all possible.

Any such thing as an aftermarket limiter?

Yes the screw is the limiter

 

never adjust when he is around though.
Hopefully it will take awhile before he figures out how to crank it up.
