Default 85' LT230 help

Alright, I bought an 85' LT230 plastics are in nice shape one minor crack near grab bar.

Anyways it runs and idles, but when your idling and you give it a little bit of gas and let out it starts to slowly rev until it hits the rev limiter.

I as told it could be the gas, we drained it and dumped 93 octane into it. Checked for leaks around the boot, and cleaned the carb.

None of these seemed to help, what could the problem be?

So, it idles fine until you snap the throttle? What do you do to get the rpms back down? Checked ur float height?

You cant get them to come down unless you start to drive it but then when you pull the clutch in when your coming to a stop it starts to rev again.
