Default Need Help id'ing my Quad

So i bought this for $65 ended up putting $15 into and i have an awesome quad. As far as i can tell it's a late 80's Quad sport lt230e? but i'm really not sure. It still needs a little work and needs new rings and axle bearing.

My real questions are.....
whats the deal with the big bore kits?? I see some good about them some bad
whats the best exhaust, and is this a 230 or a 250?? It also has the compression relief that to my understanding is funkey to have?

If you look on the cylinder head it says 229cc, therefore its a 230, not a 250.

Ya, I'll grab the vin tonight. It took about 20 minutes to get it free and about 10 more to get it to run. I ended up trading an old AR80 to my buddy that let me barrow the money to buy it too, so when it's all said and done i make out up $5 lol

When you get it, pop the numbers in on this site and you should find out exactly what you have.

By the pictures i think it is a lt230s Quad sport. Is it eletric start or kick start. As for the exaust i hear the Dg RCM is the best. Also there it very little problems with the compression relief.

Get to thos berings ASAP because thos broken berings soon will crush your swinger berings. Then you will have a busted mag cover. Also what comp are you getting?

Also you can come join us 230 lovers in the big thread. Lots of info there and the 230 vault.
