I am pretty bummed, I broke one of the 6 threaded protrusions in the inner clutch rotor trying to get the nut loose. I got the flywheel nut off but I have to put together a puller, there's no way I am dropping $50 on one. So far I need to get the head, cylinder, and flywheel off and then try to get the cases apart somehow.

I think the shavings are coming from the connecting rod. There is a tink tink tink coming from the exhaust and the valves are adjusted properly. Plus when I tore the motor down I found that the conrod was "loose" and able to be pushed up and down. it still ran great when I tore it down though. So I am saving up trying to get the $170 together to have it rebuilt.

Anyone know what the stock bore is for the LT230s? I measured the diameter of the cylinder and it was 66.4MM. Is that stock?

Sorry to hear about the rod bearing. Vince did a awesome job on mine I highly recommend him. I had my rod done changed main bearings and timing chain and it runs perfect now. I believe stock is 66mm
