the needle seat valve that the float operates is not releasing any gasoline into the bowl.

see the little needle on the left? that lets gasoline into the bowl. you can see how the float obviously goes up/down thus causing the needle to open/close. take that thing out, clean it and the "hole" that it sits in. then reinstall everything and manipulate it with your fingers and watch for proper operation. once satisfied, put it all back together. BUT, if the bottom of the float bowl has a drain screw, open that to see if gasoline is actually in the bowl. if you do have gasoline in the bowl already, then we may look at other issues.
here's a tutorial to help you out.

So i took the float out and the needle is seized in the seat! Its essentially stuck in the down position. I tried grabbing it with pliers but its pretty well stuck. I'm going to soak it in WD 40 and hope that i can get it out of there.

not real familiar with the eiger, but if it's like my grizzly, the black box on right hand grip should have a sightglass facing you. 2 screws on top of lid, take off screws and add DOT 4 brake fluid and reinstall everything. you should be OK. if no black box up there, there may be a small white "jug" below the seat near the passenger side of the transmission. but i think yours is up there on the handlebars.

okay i see what your saying. Thats what i thought but i wasn't sure if i should take the cover off that thing so i thought i'd ask first. I got the needle unstuck from the seat and seem to have got it working again. So im going to install it and see if she'll fire up.

Oct...., Jaster... has you going good on the fuel issue. But not the rear brake.

I have 2 eigers. The rear brake is a cable drum brake. You adjust both the hand brake and foot brake at the rear drum. It sounds like the hand brake cable is to loose or broke and foot brake cable is to tight or foot lever or cable is frozen. I would try adjusting both first and if the rear brake still seems like it is not working, stoping you, then you will need to take drum apart.

okay thanks ^^. I noticed awhile back that there were two cables but i didnt realize one was for the foot and the other was for the hand. Guess that makes sense haha! they are both extremely loose, i think thats my faulty though. I'll try t tighten them up and see what happens.

Well bad news....looks like my "fix" was for not. the thing still wont start. the inside of the carb is very corroded especially the seat for the needle. Im going to start looking around for a new carb. I used a dremel to try and clear it out but its defintaly not smooth so i think a new carb it is!! Picts of the Eiger will be up tomorrow . secondly, where would you guys recommend buying from? The last place i ordered parts from took a month to get here...
