Shoot, I misread this the first time I think. If you are looking for oil to go in the gear case, then you can really use just about any motorcycle type oil. I always use the Bel Ray Gear Saver, I think it is usually straight 80 Weight. 20W40 or 20W50 is not a real popular oil as it just isn't spec'd for many engines.

I don't think I would use 80w oil, that seems to be to heavy. The manual saids to use 20w-40 which they do not make any more, so I use 20w-50. Amsoil should be ok. But you should look for oil that you can mix at 32-1. If this motor was completely rebuilt I would run 50-1 for at least a tank full. And remember let this quad warm up first before riding it. You must feel the head on the engine to make sure it is warm.

The best thing I could tell you to look at their web site and see if you could find out. I will see what I can find, I will let you know.

Oils like Gear Saver are MADE specifically for the tranny/clutch of the 2 stroke machines. If you have never run something like it, you should give it a shot, works great. Remember, most 4 strokes need to have a more viscous oil for the valve train, etc. but the gears/clutch don't really need the same consideration.

good advice on letting the engine warm up, not sure I would ever feel the head though. If it is truely up to operating temps it would be a little hot to the touch don't you think? Best to let it idle for a few minutes, then take it easy for a few at the beginning of your ride.

That's fine, I use Suzuki oil for a four stroke. I made a mistake, you will need 900L, which I think it might be close to one quart. Try not to over fill it. Good luck. Bill

I found out that you can mix Amsoil oil that you have to 32-1, but they said that mixing it at 50-1 you will get less smoke and a cleaner plug.
