Default lt230 shifter options?

Pretty much what the title says is what im lookin for more info towards..
going to look into a shifter to mount directly to the shaft to delete the sloppy linkage. I heard a shifter from a warrior with some cutting and welding would work. Just wondering if anyone could help me out a little..

a yamaha blaster shifter fits. it has the right length and bend to work. i used one and it worked great. you can even buy the fold up version on ebay that folds up in the event of a crash to protect the shifter shaft and magcover from getting cracked.

I ended up taking the modified shifter off, was a bit too short. I replaced it with one from a mid 80's DR125. Its the perfect length and angle.

I used a old 750cc yamaha motor cycle on mine when the ball linkage worn out years ago. Been solid since. Didn't know of the blaster option Good info

the pic in this thread is what the fold up option for the blaster looks like. either way they are both good options. just on looks the one in the pic is great. give an old lt a more modern look.
