Speedometer not working on King Quad 300???
I recently purchased a 2001 Suzuki King Quad 300 4x4, it runs great. The only problem I have is the speedometer and possibly the odometer/trip odometer are broken. The speedometer casing was broken, and the glass was broken, so I ordered another speedometer on ebay, wasn't cheap either. I just connected everything back together, and now the speedometer needle isn't moving at all. The odometer wasn't working either, but I'm not as worried about that as the actual speedometer.
I'm just wondering what could be wrong? What can I do to get this thing working? I replaced the port that speedometer cable screws into with the older one, and it still doesn't work. I see I can buy a new speedometer cable on ebay, but I'd prefer to not sinking more money on it if I can avoid it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. The service manual has no insight other than how to remove the speedometer.
Thanks!

Either nobody knows the answer, or nobody cares to answer. Either way I posted the same question on nyroc, and got some good responses, and narrowed it down to it needs a new cable.
For people searching the web as I was last night, I'm adding my nyroc link to this thread so people with the same problem can find my answer.
