hi i have a 85 lt230s and i was riding it yesterday just fine then i added oil and apparently it was too much and now i cant get it running any more i have drained the oil bought a new spark plug and still nothing even pop starting it it just back fires and wont stay running

 

make sure your got a good connection with the plug wire. pull the plug out and connect it to the wire, kick it over and see if you are still getting fire. then check to see if you are getting fuel.

 

it is getting fuel but not enough to cover the smell of just oil on the plug i am lost i dont understand how it can go from running perfect to all the sudden wont start

 

mine did the same thing to me today.my intake valve isnt closing all the way. it seems to me like yours did the exact same thing mine did. pull your valves clean them and it should run again. mine runs even better now than it did before
