Default A Little help here guys?

Don't laugh at me please. As evidenced by my name I really don't know anything about quads besides fluid changes and that basic stuff.

Well Here is my problem my brother's 06 Z400 is well over due for a chain, and sprockets. Upon receiving his in the mail I went out to change it the back sprocket is pretty self explanatory. However I am lost on how to get the retaining nut off the front sprocket. any help appreciated I could have tried a socket or something but I really don't want to break it.

The patrts fiche shows a bolt that you take out then the clip turnes to align with the splines to come off.

Well basically the front sprocket of any quad, does a socket take off that nut? I have a feeling it does but don't want to mess anything up. The back sprocket is easily understandable and new ones on. Just having problems with the front as I don't know how the big bolt that holds the sprocket on comes out.

OEM Parts
According to the fiche, there is no big nut. Rather a lil bolt that holds a retainer in place.

My '04 Z has two bolts with a shoulder after removing them you turn the retainer till the splines line up and remove it and sprocket.
