how to tell year of quad?
#1
Just picked up an 08'(I believe) Ozark for my son. Of course as most used ATV's it did not have a title (and my state does not register them). I just thought (after the fact of course) how can I be sure It's an 08' not a 06' or 04'? They all look the same. Is there a spot on the frame that has it listed? It did not have a manual either (anyone have a PDF file of one?). Also rear brake hand lever does not return completely (brake light stays on), any suggestions on what I can do to fix it? Thanks!

Your machine should have a manufacturers sticker somewhere on the steering column or frame in the front end. I had the same thing happen. When I bought my quad the Craigslist ad said 09, but when I went to look at it I looked at the sticker and it was an 08. I talked the guy down another $300!
As for the brake lever, try adding brake fluid or check the whole line for kinks. If its not hydrolic, it may just need to be tightened at the end.
Hope this helps.

you know the sticker on the frame will say the year manufactured, the title will have a different year on it. Both my quads are titled and registered. The LT250R says manufactured in 1987, but the title says 1988. My LT230 says manufactured in 1989, but the title says 1990.
