Yes, Honda hubs for the 250EX, 300EX, 400EX and 450R will work on LT230 with 24 spline axles
The splines are a little different, and will take a some "persuasion".
If the axles are really clean and have almost no rust, they will take a little more "persuasion" . . . my LT230, had to bang them on pretty hard
If the axles are pretty rusty, they take very little "persuasion" . . . my LT250R, lightly tapped them on
1st, take a bad 4 lug hub and pound the studs out of it. Then, put that hub backwards on the Honda hub and secure with 2 lugnuts. Last, "persuade" the Honda hub on your 24 spline axle with a mallet bigger than the surface area of the hub nut hole.
Sandpaper, wire brush, WD-40, motor oil and grease can be helpful with this project
Most Honda hubs come red. Old dirty rusted black ones can be sanded, ran through the dishwasher with some dishwasher detergent, lemi-shine and CLR and rattle canned with Krylon any color you wish.
