Default LT80 Spark opposite?

I just recently bought a 2003 LT80. Rode it a day and now it won't work. IT will try to start but only when I let OFF of the start button. IT won't spark while it is held down but instead it sparks when you let off the starter button? ?!?! Idk why it is doing that lol. I went through the wiring and can't find the problem. I also set the timing to the factory setting. I also bought a CDI and Ignition coil thinking that would help , but nothing. Please help if you can.

Welcome to the forums.
Explain to me how you set the timing.

I wonder if the frame to motor ground wire came off/broke/etc. I often make a extra wire and run it from the frame to motor.

Well the stator has a mark on it and there is a mark @ 9 o'clock on the engine. So i lined it up there and tightened it up and put on the magneto.
The wire to the switch on the back brake lever was broken inside so I just soldered that and I still have spark after the button press.

Great. Glad you found the problem.
I was curious as to the timing cuz most don't know much about that.

I wish I found the problem lol, It still sparks once AFTER I release the start button. No spark when it is supposed to. . .

Would the button do that? And I have a diagram and have went through with a tester on almost all the wires now It just won't fire at the right time. I got it to the other day by wiggling some wires then it stopped when I put it back together (go figure lol) And now I can't get it to do it again. . .
