I found an 05 z in good shape and haven't pulled the trigger yet to buy. It's stock from what I see besides pro taper handle bars. Started up no smoke no leaks and seemed really solid. Has a title he's the 2nd owner had it for 5 years and the older guy said he maybe rode it 15 hours in the past 4 years. Anything I should look for? Drove it thing is fast and shifted smooth. Will need to be serviced and prob tires soon. I offered 1700 and he said ok. Any thoughts iv always had hondas

It's a fine machine and the price is acceptable.

They are great quads. Have owned mine since '06 and it is a '04 model. Finally rebuilt it in april '11.

 

Z400's are great quads. In your case, my first question would be if it has ever been rebuilt. If it hasn't, it will be time to do it soon, which is about $800.
