Default Best Combination for??

Hey i was wondering what would be the best combination for modding a 1991 suzuki lt250r. Nothing to much like a stroker but some basic mods to the engine.
something like a fmf fatty, or aftermarket reed valves. The price shouldnt be more than what the quad is worth but a decent amount that can make the quad much more desirable.

I'd try a FMF fatty and some reeds.

The V Force 3 reeds are probably the best with Boysen carbon Fiber reeds coming in a close second.

V Force 3 reeds - Moto Tassinari V Force Delta 3 Reed Valve System - LT250R, LT500

Boysen Reeds - PRO SERIES REEDS

Remember the V force reeds will replace the reed block and all while the Boysen reeds use the stock block and just replace the petals. I have Boysen reeds in my 88. I am looking really hard at upgrading to the V-force ones though.

I agree (V-Force). I've not bought a set in years so I don't know what the price could be now.

The v force reeds sound awesome. How much acceleration and force would be added over the stock ones?

Thanks. By shaving the head off a bit do you mean porting? How much of a significant gain did you notice with the pipe and reeds?

Before you go to the extreme of shaving your head (it doesn't grow back) look into a Cool Head. It keeps the engine a little cooler and also allows you to change the combustion dome between a 20mm, 21mm, and 22mm which in turn changes your compression. I run a 21mm in my LT250R and it works great. Keep in mind, that my engine is ported and polished with no airbox, just a UNI

here is one on Ebay - you can interchange the dome at will as well
