Hi, new member to the forum, with zero ATV experience.

My father-in-law just offered me the use of his ATV, which has been sitting in his back barn for 25 years. It's a 1983 or 1984 Suzuki LT 125, which he bought brand new and used for a few years on his farm (mostly to round up stray cows). He got out of farming for a period of time in the mid-80s, and it hasn't moved since. I got a look at it today, and even though it was pretty dark in that barn, it looked to be in fantastic shape. (My FIL said he'd be surprised if it has 200 miles on it.)

So, I'm going to pull it out of the barn and bring it home in a couple of weeks, and I'm looking for advice on what I should do to get it running again. I have the manual for it, which looks to be pretty comprehensive. I figured on changing the oil and filter, cleaning the air filter, replacing the spark plug, replacing the gas, and lubing the drive chain. Hopefully the tires will hold air.

Is there anything else I should be doing before running it?
