Default 93 kngquad issues

when i turn the quad on from cold it runs rough if not stalls altogether unless i am revving it and also misfires while ridding it cold and also revs high then after a while comes down again. to top it all off it backfires when you turn the key off

any help to this issue will be much appreciated

Welcome to the forums.
I'd clean the carb and check the valve lash tolerance.

Do you happen to know a guy, Al Greaney?

Yes. It sounds like a plugged jet.
Remove both jets and make sure the holes are open.
