Default '96 Suzi

Hello, just joined. First I have a question. I have a '96 250 quadrunner 4WD and the rear fender has some cracks I need to weld. I just bought HF plastic welder and a pak of rods to do the repair. My question is: what kind of plastic is the fender made of? PP, pvc or something else. I'll post some pics,as soon as I'm able,of Suzi and a few minor mods I've done on her.
TIA,
Mike

Who knows. I always zip-tie and brace with aluminum behind it. If the plastic weld works, let us know. I mean... if it doesn't crack again in the same spot.

Some suzuki plastic turns brittle and some doesn't. I have plastic from 1986 that's fairly pliable, but from 1990 it crumbled to dust. I have some from 1998 that's pliable, but some from 2001 that's brittle. Don't know if its different plastic or what.

I have a tough time seeing it being as strong as original. Even with metal welding, it needs a patch over it and weld around the patch for a decent repair.
