Default Problem shifting thru High, Low, Neutral, Reverse. LT-A400/F

I just bought a 2003 Suzuki Eiger 4x4 Automatic. It was owned by an elderly man that did not drive it for the past 2 years. When I try to shift it thru high, low, neutral, and reverse, it gets stuck and I have to force it in gear. Has anyone experienced this problem with a Suzuki?

Maybe the idle speed is set too high.

Sounds very muuch like idle too high, but if the unit has not been run for the past 2 years, I would dump any gaz left in tank and refresh.
If it still shows symptoms afterwards I strongly suggest a new carb kit and with a dynojet kit set on 3rd notch and #126 main jet. You'll find a very different quad.
Just a suggestion
