Default What is a fair price? 08 Z400

What is a fair price for an 08? I found one that looks decent but plastics are scratched pretty bad the front brake lever is broken off and supposedly the battery is junk. They are selling it for $3200. Its black with a red frame, the seller says this is a limited edition. Is their any truth to that? The seller got it in a trade so he doesn't know the history. Thank you in advance.

I'd consider that a high price for that particular machine. Sounds beat. IMO, that's a $1500-$2000 machine at the very most.
It may be the limited edition but that don't mean squat to your wallet.
A guy got a new 400ex (a yr old and off the floor) for $3200. A rare deal but you get the idea.
Go to quadzone. They have mighty fine machines for sale and IMO, more than cheap prices.
$3500 in there can get you twice the machine I bet. Hopefully location can work out.
Best of luck.

I agree that's a high price for a machine that has broken parts an no known history. It may be a limited edition, but they still made a bunch of them.

Thanks alot guys Ill pass this one up. Im looking for something in that class but not exactly sure what. I previously had a 400ex when I was younger and really liked that. Id like a 450 but don't think that's the best choice for trail riding and playing with my boys on the weekends ( they are 8 and 6) so I'm open to suggestions.

the ltz is a great option. they can just put around or you can open them up and run with the big boys.
