Lt250r exhaust help
#1
Hey guys I have a 86' LT250r that I need an exhaust tip for. I have a DG expansion chamber and no tip. I need a tip because sadly its to loud. Does anyone know where i can find a tip that fits my pipe? DG offers one but I can't see the picture to see of it matches the fittings

I've successfully mated an FMF Power Core silencer to a PTR midrange pipe with a little modification on my 89 LT250R. My '86 LT250R sported full FMF from front to back. As for fittings, you can use a small piece of heater hose, small diameter radiator, copper water pipe coupler, or you can get the coupler off ebay for a few bucks.
Also, check the expansion chamber where it meets the cylinder. Sometimes, they like to leak there. If theres an oily sludge around there, you need a new gasket, its also leaking noise and back pressure there as well.

Yes I need the silencer. Like I said I have the DG pipe, but I was wondering if there was a silencer that was offered that didn't require the stock mid-pipe. I'm not sure if DG is just the silencer or if it has the pipe attached. So basically the stock setup is a 3-piece. And I need a 2-piece. But I already have the DG expansion chamber.
