You adjusted the lash like that? No wonder its ticking! Have you been sippin pine cone party liquor? lol. Turn the cam 180 degrees and set the lash.
I'm not sure how you managed to do that because you would have to screw the adjustment screws out so far. You always set the lash at TDC on the compression stroke. Turn the engine until the intake opens and closes and then the next stroke up is the compression.

I admit, I was sippin on the pine cone party liquor.
At least I realized what was wrong. I will adjust and repost my findings in hopes of helping anyone else out in a similar situation. And yes, I had to back way the hell out on those screws to get the feeler gauge in there..... lol
