Hey guys,

I recently restored my 87 Suzuki LT 50, it was sitting in my grandmother's garage for the last 10 years missing alot of parts and not in running order
I completely gutted the whole thing, sand blasted every metal part and repainted/restored almost every nut and bolt on the bike.
Attached is a picture of the almost final product. I just need to repaint the rims and install 4 new tires.

Now i'm having a problem with the bike running extremely rich. I have dissconnected the oil injection system and was running a mixture of 32:1. The bike is still running extremely rich, so i thinned out the mixture even more.. still rich. Could this be an issue of the piston rings worn out?
I'm running out of ideas, i really don't want to rebuild the whole motor, but it looks like that's where i'm heading.

They are aftermarket unfortunately. I tried to keep it as original as possible, but some things i just couldn't get.

The fit of the aftermarket fenders is pretty good though, just had to play around with it

I've had the bike sitting since i completed it, i took it out the other day and i'm still having the same bogging issue under WOT, anyone have any ideas?

 

Did you ever check compression like was mentioned?Should be at least around 100 psi or more on the little 50. Have you cleaned the carb,replaced the needle and seat? Premix around 40-1? I bought a 1984 Lt50 for my son when they first came out. After removing the restrictors it ran good,but I don't think the newer ones had the washer in the exhaust pipe and the restrictor jet in the carb.Plus is exhaust flow strong or weak? Could be a stopped up exhaust pipe if you've eliminated everything else.
