so it starts up idles fine when I give it gas it boggs out then stalls. was running fine changed plug then that happen put old plug back in same problem..

 

Sounds like a plugged jet.
try cleaning the carb.

I have 2 and always seems to be a problem starting them. do they have a tendancy to flood? or battery issues?

 

They flood.
1 gentelman says that the fiber in the stock petcock deteriorates and allows fuel to go down the vaccum tube and into the motor. I'm sure this can happen.
I recommend a inline filter and manual shut off valve or new on/off petcock.
Shut the valve off and let it idle a while and they seem to start fine.
