I have a 86 230 s and there is no spark. It hasnt been run in a few years so i picked it up for 100 bucks from a friend now i had it running, and it was running good to then it just quit. It was like i hit the kill switch. I checked all my wires and never saw any shorts anywherei only have power comming from the yelow wire there is a blue wire there aswell . These wires have no plugs the other 4 wires have plugs. I realy dont know what happened and would love a bit of help frome somebody that has seen this before.

 

Running fine then quit????? Depending on how long it was running it could be the ignition coil. Sometimes after riding they heat up then stop working due to overload. Might be time for a new coil...pretty cheap. Could be the plug...may be fouled. Would also be like hitting the kill switch...try another.
