LT-A500FK3 2002 Suzuki 500 Vinson Water in clutch area
Dear ATV Community,
I'm wondering if you can pass along some advise / information to me? I have a LT-A500FK3 2002 Suzuki 500 Vinson. Today when I went to take it for a ride the ATV did not seem to want to go into gear. It would rev up real high and slowly speed up. I got it home and first removed the drain plug to the clutch cover. When I did this a dark water substance drained out. After doing this I removed the clutch cover. When I did this more watery / dirty substance came out. I then took my air hose and blew everything out. I then put the clutch cover back on and did a short test drive. It seemed to be driving normal without revving up and going slow. I have a two part question is, First; Do I need to add any fluids back to the system? Second; do you think it was water that got into the system and caused this problem? Thanks in advance for any information you can provide to me.

When I go into to deep of water I find reeving the motor while in neutral dries out the belt housing faster.
Maybe your ATV has a drain plug below the belt housing.
If it gets wet in shallow water you belt housing gasket may need to be changed or one of your two air vent tube fittings to the belt housing is lose.
Not to many ways for water to get inside really if you look at it close.
