Question 86 Suzuki LT230 identification help!!

Hey so I am new to working on these atv's and I am having trouble identifying my motor. The VIN number says its an 86 LT230. I bought it with two engines, so I am not sure which one was original or where the other one came from. The number on the motor reads J411-142837. The number on the non-running parts motor is J411-136522.

I ask because I ordered an EBC clutch kit, the friction pads were correct but the springs were not. I was sent a set of 4 springs that were too large, but I see after taking the clutch apart that I need a set of 5 springs that need to be slimmer than what I was sent.

Any help in identifying this motor or which spring set I need would be a huge help, thanks a lot in advance.

If it is a sporty with the manual clutch, kick start, chain drive, it is the LT230S. For a true model year '86, Suzuki only had that one and the utility auto clutch, shaft drive, e-start with pull as a backup LT230G.

Thanks for the help, I thought it was the LT230S. The company I bought the parts from was using a reference chart that was apparently incorrect

In '87 I believe, they also made the E model, which was an S except it had e-start and an auto clutch. Still chain driven. The motor is basically pretty similar across all 3 models with the exception of starting mechanism, clutch, and drive mechanism. Great little quads, very much reminiscent of the Raptor 250. I hope you get yours running soon.
