You do not hear much bad about Suzuki or any Japanese brands really.

My freind has the DR400 dirt bike with the same motor its been really good to him.

nothing really bad about Suzuki or any of the big jap brands for that matter, tbh it's the US brands that seem to have issues

 

Even the American brands out source many of their their motors to Japanese companies.
Polaris uses Fuji . Owned by Subaru.
Arctic- Cat uses Suzuki.
