I bought an 86' lt230s not too long ago and fixed it up a bunch. I was told the top end was rebuilt but never fired. I got it running but it doesn't have 5th gear. It's like I run out of gears after 4th. Any suggestions?

 

Do you get another neutral or does it just act like a 4 speeder and won't change up from 4th?

 

It just acts like a 4 speed. I have reverse and neutral.

 

OK, assuming it ever had five speeds you probably have a selector problem. I am not familiar with old Suzukis so can't help there.

 

Lt230s has Trans has 1 down n 4 up so this makes it a 5 speed Tranny correct? Is this what you r saying?
