I just acquired a LTF500 and it has me quite confused. I've owned quite a few 250 4x4's and King quad 300's, but this is the first time I've even seen one of these quads.
It needs a lot of work since the previous owner shoved 28's under it and fried the clutch out of it. The back plastics seem to have a "body lift" type of thing going on that looks rigged very cheaply. Anyways, I'm looking to return it to stock, remove the lift and retarded tires, and have a work horse to do yard work and occasionally tackle the local trails.
My question about the front diff is this, It seems to have a very un-Suzuki like full time 4x4 front diff. I want to add a selectable front diff out of a different model. To look at it, it resembles the front diff of the 250/300's.Does anyone know if this is true? I would love to gain the front locker as I've never owned an ATV that doesn't have a front locker.
