Need for speed

my brother just put on motofast pipes on his Shee and with some other minor mods she hauls *****. i have an '85 Lt 250R portedand polished, bored .030 over, duncanracing Kenin carb, open air box,UNI air filter, FMF pipes and silencer, wisco piston, just had the top end rebuild last year. what else can i do? do they make Rad valves for my quad? What do you think would boost my performance?

THERE WAS NO MENTION OF A HEAD MOD. I RECOMMEND A COOL HEAD WITH THE HIGH COMPRESSION RACE GAS DOME. YOU CAN HAVE YOUR HEAD MILLED BUT I RECOMMENED THE COOL HEAD BECAUSE IT WILL KEEP THE MOTOR COOLER AND A COOL MOTOR PRODUCES MORE POWER PLUS YOU WILL HAVE TO RUN A RACE GAS (PREFERABLE LEADED) WHICH BURNS HOTTER. AS FOR A RAM VAVLE YOUR YEAR 250 AND THE 86 HAS THE REEDS IN THE BASE OF THE CYLINDER SO THERE IS NO WAY TO INSTALL A RAM VALVE. YOUR ONLY OTHER BIG BOOST WOULD BE RUNNING ALCHOL, BUT THAT COMES WITH A PRICE. YOU WILL CUT YOUR RANGE IN HALF BECAUSE IT USES TWICE AS MUCH, PLUS WHEN YOUR DONE YOU HAVE TO RUN GAS THROUGH THE MOTOR TO FLUSH OUT THE ALCHOL. I HAVE A ALCHOL BURNING LT500 MOTOR WITH A TURBO CHARGER ON IT THAT JUST TEARS YOU OFF THE SEAT BUT I ONLY WILL USE THAT FOR THE DUNES, IT IS WAY TO MUCH FOR THE WOODS. I WOULD GO FOR THE COOL HEAD (WITH RACE GAS DOME) SOME 100-112 LEADED RACE GAS, THROW IN SOME BOYSEN KEVLAR REEDS AND BE HAPPY. YOU COULD SEND YOUR CARB TO TUDORS AND HAVE HIM BORE IT AND ADD A POWER JET TOO. HOPE THIS HELPS. ANYTIME YOU MAKE MORE POWER YOU CREATE MORE HEAT. THE LEAD IN THE RACE GAS LUBRICATES AND HELPS COOLING AND FRICTION. HOWEVER HIGHER OCTANE DOES NOT MAKE POWER UNLESS YOU MAKE THE PERFORMANCE MODS TO YOUR MACHINE. MY CRAZY SISTER HAS A 2000 400 SCRAMBLE THAT IS CARBED,PORTED, PIPED, AND I JUST INSTALLED A ROLLER CLUTCH AND A 14 TO 1 BILLET COOL HEAD (NEEDLESS TO SAY THIS THING ROCKS) ANYWAY AFTER INSTALLING THE HIGH COMPRESSION HEAD SHE NOW HAS TO RUN VP C-12 (112 OCTANE) OR THE BIKE KNOCKS. EVEN WHEN IT WAS PORTED AND PIPED RACE GAS WAS NOT NEEDED NOR WOULD IT MAKE ANYMORE POWER, BUT NOW IT DOES NEED IT. ANYWAY I RECOMMEND THE COOL HEAD BECAUSE IT DOES MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE.
