07 Suzuki ltz 50 dynatek CDi - help
#1
I have a o7 Suzuki 4 stroke ltz-50 & it has
a dynatek CDi & it runs fine on limit 1 which is top speed rpm curve but will not limit down on limit 2. -3 or 4 which would be 4 mph the slowest setting - CDi tested fine at dynatek & they sent a second test unit both do same thing - the spacer is out of clutch but & no other mods does anybody have on in their bike that works ?

If the Dynatek limiter works on counting the number of sparks per min, and cuts out when it gets to a certain number I can't see any way it could fail to cut the speed. However if it measures how much power the alternator is producing and cuts the sparks when it reaches a certain level, a faulty alternator may never reach the cut out power. Find out which way it works from Dynatek. A simple work round could be to fit a throttle stop like the old LT50s had.
