Agree ^^^^^

While I know my KQ750 will go 70mph, I rarely get over 45mph and most of the time I'm between 5 and 30mph depending on the trail. It's too scary for me any faster than this.

If Suzuki or Yamaha had a 2-up ATV in the 550 to 750 class, I would have bought one. But they didn't and the only three manufactures of legalized 2-up ATV's right now are Arctic Cat, Polaris and Can-Am. I looked at all and came away with the Can-Am 650. Extremely powerful, but I don't go over 45mph and usually like said above, ride between 5 and 30mph.

twinman and claycope hit the nail on the head. Our ATVs are good at trail riding and some tractor work around the property. They were not designed for high speed runs, although most of us try it out now and then. They are fun to ride the trails, clammer over an obstacle, cross a creek, and crack the throttle on a longer straight section of trail. I ended up with a Can Am because of the 2 up dilemma. If Suzuki or Yamaha made a two up machine, I certainly would have checked it out.

I really feel a 45hp machine would have served my needs quite nicely.

Post 570 outlander has a 570cc v-twin engine. 48.4HP / the 645cc v-twin makes 62.3 HP

The Can Am Outlander 570 will get a jump on the Suzuki KQ750, but the KQ750 will quickly catch up and pass it on the mid to top end.

I have a 2009 Suzuki KQ750 and have thoroughly enjoyed the quad. To me, it's the best all around big bore ATV. It has plenty of power, but the power doesn't come on as strong as a V-twin. It seems more controlled. Some of this has to do with the clutching from the factory. But once the KQ750 single cylinder gets going, it has a lot of mid range power. It will lift the front tires up with no problem.

I also now have a new Can Am 650 DPS Max and it will walk away from the King Quad with no problem. But it's 62 hp verses the KQ750 at the 49.6 hp. I was considering the 570 DPS Max by Can Am, but it was slower than the single seat KQ750 even though their HP is about the same. It probably was due to the 570 being the 2-seater and having more weight.

Bottom line IMHO is you can never go wrong with the Suzuki KQ750. I still have mine and plan on keeping it and making it a huge mud machine now that I have the 2-seater 650 Can Am Max.

For a few $ more, get the KQ750 over the KQ500. You will truly be glad you did. Plus try to get the one with power steering.

the 570 outlander has a 570cc v-twin engine, this makes 48 HP, the 650cc v-twin engine makes 62 HP. this means if the 570 had the 650 engine it would destroy the 750.
