Might be lack of my ability to search properly. I searched the web and this forum and found one resource but no specifics to it but just stating they did the mod.

You cut the footpegs in 1/2 then make a rod to rejoin them. This way the left footpeg can come off and out of the way.

That's it cool sounds easy enough and much easier than putting that dang starter in . Thanks will do it one weekend.

I make a fancy alum piece to join the pegs. $20 shipped.
I'm sure you can make yourself one simple enough tho.

The mod is to cut the single footrest support in half (stand the quad on its *** end and you'll clearly see the footrest pipe going under the engine, carefully cut this with a 4" cutting disk, this will allow you to remove the clutch side footrest without motor removal...you'll need to weld in or otherwise insert a smaller OD pipe to allow the 2 halves to be reconnected).


If I remember, I'll take a pick of mine as they are off the machine...

I like looking around other ppl's garages. I always wonder if mine started out that clean.

Clean...it's a mess...I hate the clutter...but often am too lazy to clean up after myself :P
