Has any of you been there, Hatfield/ McCoy Trails on your 4x4 Suzuki's and what kind of experience was it on the rims of the hills, rocks and loose dirt? Did you find mud on all trails or not? Where did you stay while there and how were the roads back and forth to the trail heads? Is it possible to go into town on the other trail systems or only on Buffalo, while riding the quads? I've got more but I'll wait 'til someone has some answers.

I live in west virginia and rode the hatfield and mccoy trail back in january.(first time) I got on the trail at the trailhead that is right outside the town of Logan(i have forgotten the name of it)but anyway i found the trails to be alot of fun to ride. There are all different skill levels and types of terrain from easy riding on logging roads and strip mine haul roads to single track trails that run up and down and along some pretty steep hills and ridges.I did not find any thing that could stop the ol 98 suzuki 500 and i rode every trail that was marked on the map that i got of the trail. There was some tuff going on a couple of the trails. I left a guy on a honda 4x4 foreman setting at the bottom of a steep ice and snow covered hill. He was more him and his buddy who had a 2 wheel drive honda lack of riding skill than the bikes not being able to make it.I went up no problem and looked back and they were not behind me so i went back down and and they said they could not make it so i went up it again. I rode the rest of the day by myself. To make a long story short i enjoyed the trails and will be going back to ride the other trails. By the the way no towns except the one you mention lets you ride into town on your bike. There are a couple of motels in logan where you can stay they are listed on the web site for the trail. There is also some camp grounds that are listed to. PS If you ride a whole section of trail like i did i suggest you take along extra gas.I missed a turn on the way back to the trail head and ran out a mile from my truck. Luckly the main strip mine road was right close and i pushed it to the main gate at the mine and a lady who was watching the gate gave me a ride to get my truck. Let me know if you need more info i will be glad to help you in any way i can. If you decide to come and ride let me know and maybe i will come and ride with you.

That sounds like RockHouse you were on Bulldaddy. Most here say it's the most pleasureful to ride. Others say, it's longer than the other two trails.
And if you'd like to come along, you're more than welcome. Great story...

If you want to know, go to Rubicon Bob's post in the Suzuki Forum, Hatfield/McCoy Rides... The guy gets around.
