Glad you got it sorted.
If you have a standard loom and standard ECU it will run the battery down while it is parked up. Always remove a battery lead if you are not going to use a 700 for more than a week. Suzuki did make a replacement ECU which uses less power when the bike is switched off, but the standard loom still only allows the regulator to produce a 13.25v maximum charge, which doesn't make for a quick re-charge once you do start using it.
