lt80 and dirtdevel- I was reading some prior posts. I think the guy I got this from put a Chinese carb on it because I don't see where the vacuum hose from the petcock can connect to the carb. The only ports are fuel line and oil which I did away with.

The rear port (closest to the motor) on the carb is where the petcock vacuum hose goes.

So I replaced the pet **** with a standard on/off and capped off the vacuum port on the carb. Started right up and I let it warm up for about 10min.(note 45 degrees here). will idle all day but still seemed to flood out at first. The more I ran it the better it was. After about 30min I could go about 100ft before it seemed to flood out. I would back off the throttle and let it catch up then hit the throttle and it would take right off again. This is about 3/4 throttle. What's my next step or should I just keep doing this to clean it out per se. By the way even with the flooding it is running 100x better. Thanks for the help

Remove the plug in the pipe. That'll help clean it out.
Sometimes the pipes need to be heated up and blown out.

I'm not sure. I took it apart and everything looked new so I'm not sure if the guy rebuilt or ordered a new one. Gasket, float and needle all looked brand new.

The way everything else looked that he supposedly rebuilt I wouldn't be surprised if it was a Chinese carb

There is one gasket I didn't replace. The one between the lower end and jug. I forgot to order when I ordered the others. I didn't look bad though. But who knows. Would an air leek cause my problem

Sorry for the million posts but I'm thinking as I'm going here. I did pull the plug and it had a bunch of dried crud. If you remember from my previous post I was having some oil like substance leaking from the exhaust but that stopped I figured that was just a build up of moisture. I will pull the exhaust plug in the morning and try that.

I think the float stuck and filled the motor with fuel.
BTW, I've had no problems with the cheapo carbs.
