Yeah...not running crisp at all...bogging with wheels off the ground sounds like needle issue...it's definitely getting fuel as it'll run wide open, but coming off the pilot it sounds very rich or very lean...

Once the carb boot is on, it may help.

Ok, here is the front clutch apart. Disregard the missing roller, I forgot it when setting up the photo op. My bushing is 1.27” long, however it fits really snug in the moveable drive face. Once it’s in it slides somewhat easy, but needs to be forced out with a few soft blows and a properly sized socket. I actually messed up the moveable face seal getting it out. The washer is a weird size, the OD is bigger than the bushing and the ID is smaller than the crankshaft. I can’t even get it to fit on the crank. It’s also much larger than the flat spot on the fixed face where it’s supposed to meet up to. This washer was a new part ordered direct from Partzilla.

Also, the belts I have are way off in size to what you measured, Jack. The Gates is 0.69” wide and the old belt is 0.67”, worn down a little. They are both about the same length. What is the proper size it’s supposed to be? Is there a manufacturer you recommend?

The belt width service limit is 16.7mm (.66inch) so I wouldn't expect it to be much wider than that new...so looks like your belt is fine. I can say that you should clean up that cylinder bearing and it looks like there is no grease in the brass bushing (unless you cleaned it out as the grease grove looks very dry to me)...

OOOOpsie.. apparently I added a "1"..lol Belts OK.
Everything looks fine (those bushings always look like that). I agree tho, clean up and very lightly lube the brass.
AND, those are not LT80 rollers. They are for the "other scooter motor machines". They will work but they are not the correct size (smaller OD). There are many weights for those rollers I have no idea on the effect with the exception that top end will suffer slightly because of the smaller OD.
That big washer is sorta sloppy. I'm sure it's fine. If not, show a pic of you trying to install. Show me what you think is the problem. Maybe use the original washer.
Bazzinga...

Major update

i put the clutch back together with the washer in the correct spot, between the fixed face and the bushing/sleeve. It works much better now. Not 100% yet, but a lot better. It still has a dead spot in the throttle when I open it up...its very noticeable trying to take off and whenever you really open it up. It still wants to fall on its face. If I feather the throttle I can get it to work good. I’m going with carb issue.

what is the reccomended setting for the slide needle? I have the c-clip set to the second groove from top.

Also, how much difference will the correct rollers make in the clutch? Should I get the right ones? Also, I know a lot of people reccomend only running three rollers, but is that gunna be too snappy for a newer rider?

i checked the compression again while it was hot, right after running it for a few minutes. 105psi. Again, this is the new eBay top end kit. When I first installed it and checked it cold with a little oil in the cylinder, it was 125psi. That seem ok?

Thanks again everyone for all the help!
