Default Fuel dumping out of exhause

To make a long story short. I have a King Quad 700 and it was not running correctly. I brought to a dealer and in the end it was due to mice making a home in the air cleaner. The dealer took everything apart, right down to taking the piston off. They turned out to be aholes so I took the quad back in pieces. I've put it all back together and the timing marks and whatnot were set correctly according to the manual I found online. There are a few sensor plugs that I just cant find out where the heck they go. One of them is on the bottom on the throttle body and the others are in that vicinity. So when cranking it, gas pours out of the exhaust port (I did not yet put the exhaust on). It's not just a little bit either, it's a dumping that comes out. Could it be my timing is off (maybe crank is off by 180 degrees)? I mean, I put it back together at TDC, timing mark on gear case was where it was supposed to be. Cam gear marks lined up level with top of head. I can't see it being out of whack. And in reality, even if it was off, I just cant see that much fuel be dumped into the cylinder is normal. I've made sure my throttle cable is not hung on WOT or anything. Throttle body is closed so I dont know why it would throw that much fuel into the cylinder. When I turn the key into the on position it says FI and then the water temp light with FI. At this point I can only think that I need to find out where the rest of these sensors get plugged in and maybe it's a sensor that causing the excessive fuel. I have no problem taking the head cover back off and going back through the timing if need be...but I just cant see it being that. Just looking for some recommendations...it's a real pain because I was not the one who took it apart

Welcome to the forums.
I didn't see where the carb was cleaned.
Usually a fuel dump issue of that amount is the float sticking and allowing fuel in.
I'm sure others will chime in.

Sorry for the confusion. I thought throttle body would indicate it's fuel injected. So no carburetor. However the throttle body was sprayed and cleaned inside since it was a bit gunked up.

You can't get the timing 180 degrees out, as the trigger coil is on the flywheel it sparks every revolution. From memory, the 700 has an air temp sensor poking into the airbox, a vacuum sensor with a little piece of tubing on it that goes into the throttle body or inlet manifold. A throttle position sensor on the butterfly spindle and a tipover sensor? Not quite sure what this does, somewhere near the airbox. I think there is an excess fuel device for cold starts, in the throttle body. The 450 had none of this (except the TPS) and works perfectly well! Never had it on a Suzuki, but I have heard of Honda injectors sticking open, giving a contiual flow of fuel into engine. However, if you look down at the butterfly, you can see the injector squirting fuel in as you spin the engine over, on a 700.

haha, I am actually an old 2 stroke guy myself :-). Carb, reeds and no valves :-)

I found all the plug ends and now no more fuel dumping. It sparks and I see a fine mist in the throttle body as I crank it. So I should be good. It doesnt yet start for some reason but at least the fuel dumping issue is fixed. Now at least I have something normal to work with. Didnt have that much time to fuss with it.
